Each spring, the Kane Forest Preserve Foundation holds a native plant sale. Proceeds support various Forest Preserve District of Kane County projects. In 2022, proceeds will go to construct osprey nesting towers in the Kane County forest preserves. More to come, as we finalize plans. Less than one-tenth of one percent of the original Illinois prairie remains. The Foundation is a charitable organization that helps the Forest Preserve District's efforts to acquire and restore and protect prairies, woodlands and wetlands, throughout Kane County.
